This month Judy Horacek's Cartoon Topic is 'Trials & Tribulations', which seems rather appropriate in view of all the recent reports of disappearing keys, mobile phones and ATM cards. These comics will cheer us all up. We will laugh in the face of over-work, weepiness and disturbing news from Norway.

Hey Lucy, It's great isn't it? Every time I watch tv now, I say 'Back off, Kev'.

I have to confess to having had a nameless dread around Judy Horacek when she started going to my art school. I was so excited, I gushed my enthusiasm at her on her first day. I was so embarrassed I spent the next 3 years sculking through the corridors in case she remembered my utter dorkiness. Ay ay ay. I wish I'd named that dread and overcome it. I love her cartoons.

&D, I think if she's anything like her comics she'd be quite forgiving of dorkiness. I'd hazard she might be a bit of dork herself and all the excellent qualities that entails.

Well, she may have an inner dork, but she can come across as a very cool person! We do smile at each other at art openings, so maybe I'll redeem myself.

Had this up on the corkboard in the kitchen for a year - them folks that read it, tend to nervously smile, glance sideways at me and mutter "Umm that's umm that's umm..nice". Fav Horacek is the triptych of three woman - the past, the future and the present. & then there's the postmodern knitting....so many possibilities, so little corkboard.
